Whether you are interested in creating lighting, fountains, or just want to reduce the weight and kiln-firing times, hanging core casting opens up more possibilities. Different from traditional hollow-core casting, hanging-cores combine the core and reservoir in the same location. This requires some intricate mold making and planning. During this workshop, instructor Michael Endo, will cover all the steps he uses when creating hanging-core molds, including: wax working, mold recipes, mold construction, and coldworking. This course covers an advanced topic and is suitable for students with some experience.
